Ryther - Rudy's Story

Telling Stories That Matter: Coho Films’ Ongoing Work with Ryther and Their Mission to Support Youth Mental Health

At Coho Films, we’re fortunate to work with organizations whose missions we deeply believe in. One of those long-standing partnerships is with Ryther, a Seattle-based behavioral health agency that provides trauma-informed care and mental health services for children, teens, and young adults.

Ryther’s Life-Changing Work

Ryther helps more than 800 children and young adults every month by offering a wide range of behavioral health services rooted in evidence-based practices. Their work includes individual and family therapy, school-based support, and specialized programming centered around the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) trauma care model.

Their mission is clear: to walk alongside young people and their families on the path to healing and hope—regardless of background, gender identity, or financial means. It's powerful work, and we are proud to help amplify it.

Mini Documentaries with Purpose

Each year, Coho Films produces a series of short documentaries and marketing videos for Ryther that are showcased at their annual fundraising gala and across digital platforms. These stories spotlight real experiences and powerful outcomes—from courageous young people working through challenges to families reunited and thriving.

These projects require a delicate, respectful approach. Many participants may be understandably nervous or hesitant to be on camera. Our crew prioritizes building trust and creating a safe, comfortable environment—often working in sensitive settings like therapeutic sessions or youth housing programs.

Capturing Authentic Moments with Care

On set, we bring a minimalist, thoughtful production approach: no overwhelming lights, no pushy questions—just space for honest, human storytelling. Whether it’s capturing a therapist’s insight or a youth’s journey through recovery, our goal is to reflect the dignity and strength of everyone involved.

Over the years, we’ve created a wide range of videos for Ryther—from impact stories to program overviews—helping them engage their community, raise critical funds, and spread awareness about the importance of trauma-informed youth mental health services in Seattle and beyond.

A Partnership We’re Proud Of

Working with Ryther is one of the highlights of our year. Their team is collaborative, kind, and relentlessly mission-driven. At Coho Films, we’re honored to play a small role in helping tell the stories of those they serve—and in supporting a community of care that truly changes lives.
