Nonprofit WORK
We love partnering with nonprofits we can stand behind.
One Roof Foundation
Over the past two years, we have partnered with the Seattle Kraken’s philanthropic arm, One Roof Foundation, to create a variety of films and visual treatments to help them better unite our community.
Last year during each home game, One Roof Foundation honored an individual doing extraordinary work in our community and awarded them with a check for $32,000 to a nonprofit of their choice. Through our partnership, we told the story of each individual in our Heroes of the Deep video series.
We are honored to work with One Roof Foundation and continue to showcase a variety of community activations in our neighborhoods and public parks.
Ryther
We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Ryther, YouthCare and Kaiser Permanente of Washington, who together provide a wide range of mental health and substance abuse services to young people, serving individuals from birth to their early twenties, and their families.
Each year we produce several videos for Ryther and their ongoing partnership with YouthCare and Kaiser Permanente of Washington, focusing on various services, case studies or ways in which they are lifting up our community.
KidsQuest Children's Museum
KidsQuest Children's Museum is a hands-on, interactive museum that encourages learning through play, focusing on science, technology, engineering, art and math. By fostering the power of play and individual exploration, children learn to connect to their communities and beyond.
Coho Films has helped KidsQuest illustrate their mission, creating annual fundraising videos that highlight their quest for childhood development and exploration.
Neighborcare Health
We’re happy to have worked with Neighborcare Health to create a series of mini-documentaries showcasing the various patients who depend on the services provided by this outstanding nonprofit.
Each mini-documentary featured a different patient, each with a unique set of needs. We then compiled those stories together to tell the larger story of why Neighborcare Health is so valuable to those who live on the margins and might not have easy access to healtcare.
Neighborcare helps people from all walks of life access and navigate the healthcare process and we’re proud to have partnered with them.
Multicare Health - Rock the Foundation
We created a video for Multicare Health’s ‘Rock the Foundation fundraising event which helped the nonprofit raise nearly $500,000 for better, faster and more effective treatment in the ever-changing world of cancer.
Our video demonstrated the need for this improved technology from the perspective of one of their very own MultiCare oncologists, Dr. Blair Irwin. We worked closely with Multicare Health to create a unique fundraising video filled with the right mix of emotion and information to encourage event attendees to donate to this very important cause. For fundraising films, we often see life from the perspective of the patient. For this film, we wanted to humanize the doctor. Day after day, Dr. Blair Irwin is tasked with dozens of patients in very dire situations. Not only do her patients rely on her for support, but so do her children. We wanted to highlight the tremendous grit and strength it takes to do what Dr. Irwin does.
Alliance for Gun Responsibility - Annual Fundraiser
We worked with Alliance for Gun Responsibility to develop a gripping film to be played at their annual fundraiser.
They raised well over $2 Million which will go towards brining about legislation making it more difficult for minors to acquire guns. Specifically, I-1639 would raise the age to buy semi-automatic rifles to 21, require enhanced background checks and impose safe-storage standards for guns.
For this film, we decided to include an ‘infinite-black’ backdrop to highlight the stories of each subject. We wanted a visually-striking style that demands attention. We did not want to dilute the powerful stories with B Roll, but instead emphasis the need for stronger regulation.
Lydia Place
Lydia Place provides emergency and transitional housing for women and children facing homelessness. They have helped their community since 1989 and Coho Films has created fundraising videos for them over the past few years.
We work with Lydia Place to assess which stories will make a strong and then determine how to share those stories.
This particular film celebrated their 35th anniversary through a use of humor and emotions. We ran through the history of Lydia Place by hearing from some of the key players in their mission.
Children's Institute for Learning Differences (CHILD)
CHILD provides therapeutic day school services and therapies to children with significant learning and behavioral challenges. They focus on social, emotional, and academic development for these students who might otherwise not be able to attend school. They have served children with special needs and their families in Greater Seattle for over 40 years. Coho Films has created several fundraising videos for them to help raise hundreds of thousands of donation dollars for CHILD's programs.
We worked with the CHILD team to identify student's stories that inspired viewers to support CHILD's programs and filmed on-site.
This particular fundraising film was created to help the viewer feel some of the different struggles these children face and see how CHILD was able to support them to be more successful. The depth of these student's struggles and the inspiring outcomes once CHILD stepped in with supports made a compelling and successful ask at CHILD's fundraising event.
